Welcome to the web site (the “Site”) of Beeline Ventures LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company (the “Company”, “we”, “us” and/or “our”). This Site is operated by the Company and has been created to provide information about the Company and our student loan support services, websites, mobile apps, applications, and other products and services under our control or offered by us (collectively, the “Company Services”) to our Site visitors and the users of the Company Services (“you”, “your”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and, for that reason, we have adopted this Privacy Policy to explain our data collection, use, and disclosure practices for the Company Services. This Privacy Policy sets forth the Company’s policy with respect to information including personally identifiable data and other information that is collected from Site visitors and users of other Company Services that reference this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy applies to information the Company collects through the Company Services, as well as other information provided to us online or offline by third parties, when we associate that information with customers or users of the Company Services; however, it does not apply to information collected from our employees, contractors, or vendors.  It also does not apply to information that you ask us to share with third parties or is collected by Online Tool Providers (as further described below).  You acknowledge and agree that the Company is not responsible for the data collection or use practices of any other user of the Company Services or a third party utilized in providing the Company Services.


Information We Collect:

When you interact with us through the Company Services, we may collect Personal Data and other information from you, as further described below:

Personal Data That You Provide Through the Company Services: We collect Personal Data from you when you voluntarily provide such information, such as when you create an account on the Company Services, contact us with inquiries, register for access to the Company Services, or use certain Company Services. “Personal Data” means information that alone or when in combination with other information may be used to readily identify you. We do not consider Personal Data to include information that does not personally identify an individual, has been de-identified or aggregated so that it does not allow a third party to easily identify a specific individual (“Non-Personal Data”). The Personal Data we collect may include individually or collectively, but is not limited to, your name, email address, phone number, current and prior job titles, current and prior employers and schools and amount of student debt. The Non-Personal Data we collect includes how you interact with the Company Services, information generally collected or “logged” by Internet websites or internet services when accessed or used by users, and information about your web browser or device accessing or using the Company Services. 

Examples of Personal Data we collect are:

  • Names;
  • Birthdate;
  • Personal or business addresses;
  • Schools attended;
  • Email addresses;
  • Phone numbers; and
  • Bank, loan servicer and/or credit card information (which you submit for payment purposes and which is collected by our third party payment gateway service provider).

Examples of the Non-Personal Data we collect are:

  • The pages of our website that you viewed during a visit or the features of the mobile application you use;
  • What information, content or advertisements you view or interact with using the Company Services; 
  • Language preferences;
  • The city and state in which you are located (but not your precise geographic location); and 
  • Unique identifiers that are not connected and cannot reasonably be connected to your identity.  

We will not use Non-Personal Data to try to identify you, and if we associate any Non-Personal Data with information that personally identifies you, then we will treat it as Personal Data. As discussed in more detail below, we sometimes use cookies and other automatic information gathering technologies to gather Non-Personal Data.

By voluntarily providing us with Personal Data, you are consenting to our use of it in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the Company Services.  Information gathered through the Company Services may be transferred, used, and stored in the United States or in other countries where our service providers or we are located.  If you use the Company Services, you agree to the transfer, use, and storage of your Personal Data in those countries. The data protection and other laws of the United States and other countries might not be as comprehensive as those in your country. You agree that all transactions relating to the Company Services or Company are deemed to occur in the United States, where our servers are located.

You can use the Company Services without providing any Personal Data. You may choose not to provide Personal Data or prevent the Company Services from accessing certain features of your mobile device, subject to the controls offered by your mobile device’s operating system, but this may prevent you from receiving certain features of the Company Services.

Information Collected Through Passive Technologies:

Passively Collected Information:  When you access or use the Company Services, we and certain third parties that provide functionality on the Company Services, such as Facebook, Twitter, Google and ad networks, may engage, receive, collect, and store certain types of information through automatic data collection tools including cookies, pixel tags, web beacons, embedded web links, and similar technology. Such information is collected passively using various technologies, and may include but is not limited to your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, the date and time that you access the Company Services, referring/exit pages and URLs, and number of clicks. The Company may store such information itself or such information may be included in databases owned and maintained by Company affiliates, agents or service providers. This Company Services may use such information and pool it with other information to track, for example, the total number of visitors to our Company Services, the number of visitors to each page of our Company Services, and the domain names of your Internet service providers. Also, we may use your device’s unique identifier (UDID) or other unique identifiers to assist us in collecting and analyzing this data.

When you use the Company Services, we and third parties that provide certain functionality on the Company Services may engage, receive and record information from “cookies” and similar technology regarding that use. Cookies are small text files placed in visitors’ computer browsers to store their preferences. Your operating system and web browser may allow you to erase information stored in Cookies and local browser storage. However, if you do that, you may be forced to login to the Company Services again and you may lose some preferences or settings. You may also be able to set your browser to refuse all website storage or to indicate when it is permitted, but some features of the Company Services may not function properly without it. We may use Cookies to keep you logged in, save your preferences for the Company Services, and to collect information about how you use the Company Services. Managing Cookies and Do Not Track: Our Site currently does not respond to “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals and operates as described in this Privacy Policy whether or not a DNT signal is received.

Aggregated or Non-Personal DataIn an ongoing effort to better understand and serve the users of the Company Services, the Company and third parties that provide services to the Site and Company Services may conduct research on its customer demographics, interests and behavior based on the Personal Data, Non-Personal Data, and other information provided to or possessed by us.  This research may be compiled and analyzed on an aggregate and/or de-identified basis, and the Company may share this data with its affiliates, agents and business partners. The Company may also disclose this data in order to describe our services to current and prospective business partners, and to other third parties for other lawful purposes. 

Social Media Platforms: The Company Services may integrate with various social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok. When you connect a social media account to the Company Services, then we may collect information about that social media account and share information with that social media account as described in the connection process. This collected information may include, but is not limited to, your name, email address, demographic information from your profile, friend lists, postings or other content, and your profile picture.  You acknowledge and agree that Company is not responsible for the data collection or use practices of any such connected social media platform.  You should read each social media platform’s privacy policy before connecting that social media account.

Mobile Devices: Certain aspects of the Company Services may also access certain features of your mobile device, including its camera, location services (GPS), microphone, and contacts, and collect information from those features, such as photographs, videos, your precise location, audio recordings, and contact information.  You consent to this access.


Our Use of Your Personal Data and Other Information:

Company uses the Personal Data you provide in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy.

Internal and Service-Related Use. We use information, including Personal Data, for our internal use and to provide the Company Services. If you provide Personal Data for a certain reason, we may use the Personal Data in connection with the reason for which it was provided.

We use this information to:

  • Assist us in providing, maintaining, and protecting the Company Services;
  • Set up, maintain, and protect accounts to use the Company Services;
  • Improve our online operations;
  • Process transactions;
  • Provide customer service;
  • Communicate with you, such as provide you with account- or transaction-related communications, or other newsletters, RSS feeds, and/or other communications relating to the Company Services;
  • Send or display offers and other content that is customized to your interests or preferences;
  • Perform research and analysis aimed at improving our products and services and developing new products or services; and 
  • Manage and maintain the systems that provide the Company Services.


Communication 

If you contact us by e-mail, we may use the Personal Data you provide to answer your question or resolve your problem, and if you provide Personal Data to obtain access to employment opportunities on our Company Services, we will use your Personal Data to provide you with access to employers who match your specified criteria. The Company and its subsidiaries and affiliates (the “Related Companies”) may also use your Personal Data, passively collected data, and personally non-identifiable information collected through the Company Services to help us improve the content and functionality of the Company Services, to better understand our users and to improve the Company Services.

The Company and its affiliates and partners may use this information to contact you in the future to tell you about services we believe will be of interest to you. The communications we send you will contain instructions permitting you to “opt-out” of receiving future communications. Please note that it may take up to ten (10) business days for your opt-out request to be processed.  Also, even if you opt out of marketing e-mails, we may continue to send you certain account-related e-mails, such as notices about your account and confirmations of transactions you have requested.  In addition, if at any time you wish not to receive any future communications or you wish to have your name deleted from our mailing lists, please contact us as indicated below.

Our Disclosure of Your Personal Data and Other Information:

We may share your Personal Data with certain third parties without further notice to you, as set forth below:

At Your Direction: We may disclose Personal Information to provide the Services, or when you authorize or instruct us to do so, for example when you use the Services to submit content on public or shared areas of the Company Services. 

Business Transfers: As we develop our business, we might sell or buy businesses or assets. In the event of a corporate sale, merger, reorganization, dissolution, bankruptcy, receivership or other similar event, Personal Data may be part of the transferred assets. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to notify you of such transfer, for example via email or by posting notice on our website.

Related Companies and Partners: We may also share your Personal Data with our Related Companies or Partners for purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy if we deem such disclosure, in our sole discretion, to have sound business reasons or justifications. In particular, the Company offers account linking and aggregation services (“Account Services”) through Plaid, Inc. (“Plaid”). By utilizing these Account Services, you acknowledge and agree that the terms of Plaid’s Privacy Policy (which can be accessed at Plaid Privacy Policy (the “PPP”)) will govern Plaid’s use of such information, and you expressly agree to the terms and conditions of the PPP. Further, you expressly grant Plaid the right, power, and authority to access and transmit your information as reasonably necessary for Plaid to provide the Account Services to you. 

Marketing: The Company and its affiliates and partners may use information to contact you in the future to tell you about services or offers we believe will be of interest to you. If you redeem or respond to an offer, we may provide your Personal Data to the affiliates and partners, including your name, email address, gender, and year of birth. If you answer questions or fill out surveys from an advertiser, we may share information with that advertiser. The advertising partner’s privacy policy will govern their use of your information, which may include marketing of other products or services to you.  You should read each advertiser’s privacy policy before providing information to that advertiser.

Agents, Consultants and Related Third Parties: Company, like many businesses, sometimes hires other companies to perform certain business-related functions, such as Service Providers. By “Service Providers” we mean companies, agents, contractors, service providers, or others engaged to perform functions on our behalf (such as processing of payments, provision of data storage, hosting of our website, marketing of our products and services, and conducting audits).   When we use a Service Provider, we require that the Service Provider use and disclose the Personal Data and Non-Personal Data received from us only to provide their services to us or as required by applicable law. Examples of business-related functions performed by Service Providers include mailing information, maintaining databases and processing payments. When we employ another company to perform a function of this nature, we only provide them with the information that they need to perform their specific function for us or as required by applicable law.

Potential Employers: As part of the Company Services, the Company connects users with potential employers. To the extent you provide Personal Data to Company for the purpose of being matched with a potential employer, we will share such Personal Data with potential employers that match the employment criteria you submit to us.

Legal Requirements: The Company may disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief and in our sole discretion, that such action is necessary to (i) comply with a legal obligation, (ii) protect and defend the rights or property of the Company, (iii) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Company Services or the public, or (iv) protect against legal liability.

We may also provide certain functionalities and/or opportunities for disclosure of your information, such as sharing your profile on third-party social media websites or showcasing your profile on public pages of our Company Services. We will provide you the opportunity to opt-out of participating in such opportunities.

The Company may also disclose Personal Data and Non-Personal Data to Online Tool Providers.  By “Online Tool Provider” we mean a licensor of software that we include in, or use with, the Services, including an API or SDK, that provides a specialized function or service to us and that requires the transmission of Personal Data and/or Non-Personal Data to the Online Tool Provider.  Online Tool Providers may have the right to use Personal Data and Non-Personal Data about you for their own business purposes.  Use and disclosure of Personal Data and Non-Personal Data by an Online Tool Provider is described in its privacy policy. An Online Tool Provider may collect information automatically, in which case Personal Data and Non-Personal Data it receives are subject to the Online Tool Provider’s privacy policy.  Some Online Tool Providers may allow you to opt out of certain collection and/or uses of your information.  You can read more here:

We may also disclose Non-Personal Data, aggregated with information about our other users, to our clients, business partners, merchants, advertisers, investors, potential buyers and other third parties if we deem such disclosure, in our sole discretion, to have sound business reasons or justifications.

Confidentiality:

We will disclose information to third parties about payments you initiate or make:

  • as necessary to complete payments or provide this Feature;
  • in order to verify the existence and condition of your Funding Account for a third party, such as a credit bureau or merchant;
  • in order to comply with government agency or court orders;
  • if you give us your written permission;
  • with our Bank Partner or any other third party we use to provide this Feature; or
  • as provided elsewhere in these Terms of Service.

Exclusions:
This Privacy Policy does not apply to any Personal Data collected by Company other than Personal Data collected through the Company Services (unless we combine it with information collected through the Company Services). 

Legal Age:

The Company Services are not intended for users under 18 years of age. Company does not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under the age of 18. If you are under the age of 18, please do not submit any Personal Data through the Company Services. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to help enforce our Privacy Policy by instructing their children never to provide Personal Data on this Company Services without their permission. If you have reason to believe that an individual under the age of 18 has provided Personal Data to Company through the Company Services, please contact us, and we will endeavor to delete that information from our databases.

Links to Other Web Sites:

This Privacy Policy applies only to the Company Services. The Company Services may contain links to other web sites not operated or controlled by Company (the “Third Party Sites”). The policies and procedures we described here do not apply to the Third Party Sites. We do not own, control, or operate the Third Party Sites, and we are not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of such sites. The links from the Company Services do not imply that the Company endorses or has reviewed any Third Party Sites. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of the Third Party Sites before disclosing your personal information, as those privacy policies will apply to information collected through those sites, and we suggest contacting those sites directly for information on their privacy policies.

Security:
The Company takes reasonable steps to protect the Personal Data provided via the Company Services from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no Internet or e-mail transmission is ever fully secure or error free, and we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you provide to the Company. In particular, e-mail sent to or from this Company Services may not be secure. Therefore, you should take special care in deciding what information you send to us via e-mail. Please keep this in mind when disclosing any Personal Data to the Company via the Internet.

We restrict access to Personal Data in our possession to our employees, Service Providers, and Online Tool Providers who need to know that information in order to operate, develop, improve or support our Services. If we share Personal Data with Service Providers or Online Tool Providers, we require in writing that they also use reasonable information security measures to safeguard your Personal Data, comply with any applicable laws or regulations with respect to information security.  

By using the Company Services or providing Personal Data to the Company, you agree that we may communicate with you electronically regarding security, privacy, and administrative issues relating to your use of the Company Services. If we learn of a security system’s breach, we may attempt to notify you electronically by posting a notice on the Company Services or by sending an email to you. You may have a legal right to receive this notice in writing. Other Terms and Conditions:

Your access to and use of the Company Services is subject to the Terms of Service.

Changes to Company’s Privacy Policy and Practices:

The Company Services and our business may change from time to time. As a result, at times it may be necessary for Company to make changes to this Privacy Policy or practices concerning your Personal Data, as described further below.

Notice of Changes to Privacy Policy: Company reserves the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time and from time to time. To the extent any updates are material, the Company will provide you with notice of such update via e-mail (sent to the email address specified in your account), notice on the Company Services, or other reasonable means prior to the change becoming effective. Please review this policy periodically, and especially before you provide any Personal Data. This Privacy Policy was last updated on the “Last Updated” date indicated above. Your continued use of the Company Services after any changes or revisions to this Privacy Policy shall indicate your agreement with the terms of such revised Privacy Policy.

New Uses of Personal Data: From time to time, the Company may desire to use Personal Data for uses not previously disclosed in our Privacy Policy. If the Company’s practices change regarding previously collected Personal Data in a way that would be materially less restrictive than stated in the version of this Privacy Policy in effect at the time the Company collected the information, the Company will make reasonable efforts to provide notice and obtain consent to any such uses as may be required by law.


Access to Information; Updating Information; Contacting the Company:

If you would like to update or modify any Personal Data you have submitted via the Company Services, you can do so by emailing us at support@beelineme.com. We will take reasonable steps to update or correct such Personal Data in our possession, if it is inaccurate, or to delete it, at your request. But, in either case, we may need to retain it for legal reasons or for legitimate business purposes. However, we (and you) are not able to control information that you have already shared with other users or made available to third parties through the Company Services.

If you need further assistance with removing any content you posted through the Company Services, you can email us at support@beelineme.com. Removal of your posted content may not ensure complete or comprehensive removal from our computer systems

We ask individual users to identify themselves and the information requested to be accessed, corrected, or removed before processing such requests, and we may decline to process requests that are unreasonably repetitive or systematic, require disproportionate technical effort, jeopardize the privacy of others, would be extremely impractical (for instance, requests concerning information residing on backups), or relate to information that is not associated with your Personal Data.  In any case, where we provide information access and correction, we perform this service free of charge, except if doing so would require a disproportionate effort.

Please be aware that if you ask us to delete your Personal Data, you may not be able to continue to use the Company Services.  Also, even if you request that we delete your Personal Data, we may need to retain certain information for a limited period of time to satisfy our legal, audit and/or dispute resolution requirements.

International Users:

If you are visiting from the European Union or other regions with laws governing data collection and use, please note that by providing your information to the Company Services you are agreeing to the transfer of your information to the United States and processing globally. By providing your information you consent to any transfer and processing in accordance with this Policy.

Residents of California:

You may have heard of the California Consumer Privacy Act which provides certain rights to California (CCPA) residents in connection with their Personal Data.  The Company Services are not currently subject to the CCPA.  However, we do provide notice and transparency about our collection and use of Personal Data as described in this Privacy Policy

Residents of Nevada:

We do not sell your Personal Data.  However, you may contact us at support@beelineme.com with questions.

Residents of Canada:

If you have an objection to the use of your Personal Data as described in this Privacy Policy, you may file a complaint by sending an email to support@beelineme.com.  We will attempt to accommodate your objection or complaint, but you understand that, to the extent you object to our processing of Personal Data that is necessary for us to provide the Company Services to you, certain features and functionalities of the Services may no longer be available to you.  Nothing in this Privacy Policy prejudices your rights to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, and/or with any other applicable data protection authorities.
